Vanuatu's parliamentary Speaker says recommendations in a Coroner's Report on policing in the country are to be tabled in the house next week.

The controversial report, produced over three months ago, had criticised police practices and called for sweeping changes.

The report was to be tabled in parliament last week but parliament adjourned before the matter was raised.

Speaker George Wells says it's expected to be presented during an extraordinary parliamentary session starting next Monday.

"Tabling of the report, the document, will be tabled in this session of Parliament by the Minister of Justice. That should be debated if the members wish to debate this report. They have to move a motion to debate the report in Parliament."
