Polynesian adds extra flights for stranded Inter Island passengers

9:58 am on 16 June 2010

Polynesian Airlines has added extra flights between American Samoa and Samoa this week to accommodate passengers of Inter Island Airways.

Inter Island's Donier flew on Saturday but it encountered a problem so it remained in Apia while it was getting repaired.

Passengers were told that as soon as the problem was fixed the carrier would operate late flights.

The aircraft did operate a flight from Faleolo to Pago around 7 p.m on Sunday but on its second flight, it was only able to take passengers to Faleolo.

Passengers who were at the Faleolo airport Sunday night were told that the aircraft could not operate another flight.

Polynesia added two special flights yesterday to accommodate Inter Island customers and another two flights have been added today.
