Samoa's Electric Power Corporation has announced that its three main power generators are now back in full service.
Maintenance work carried out on the Corporation's generators led to five weeks of power rationing.
The Minister for the Electric Power Corporation says the work ended with the EPC buying three new stand-by power generators.
Tuisugaletaua Sofara Aveau says the purchases will prevent power rationing in the future.
He also says the government has approved a project for a new power plant to be constructed at Fiaga on Upolu island and coconut oil will be used to generate power.
The project is estimated to cost about one million US dollars.
