Fiji's Bureau of Statistics says visitor arrivals to the country set a new record for May.
The latest figures released show the country hosted more than 45,000 visitors.
Fiji Live reports the Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Josefa Tuamoto, as saying the results brought the total number of international visitors for the five months to May to more than 216 thousand.
He says that is a 22.3 percent increase on the numbers for the same period last year.
Mr Tuamoto says the results were buoyed by a strong performance from the Australian market.
