The lawyer for the former chief of Airports Fiji Limited will this week try to have a final charge against him withdrawn.

On Friday Justice Priyantha Fernando put a permanent stay on seven other charges against Sakiusa Tuisolia relating to operating a restaurant without a licence.

Mr Tuisolia's wife, prominent human rights lawyer Imrana Jalal, was permanently cleared two weeks ago of the charges.

One final charge against Mr Tuisolia remains, relating to failing to notify the city council of his restaurant's sale.

That is due to be heard at the end of next month.
