The United States Department of Transportation has renewed Air Pacific's certification to operate flights between Fiji and Honolulu, Hawai'i.

The Fiji-based carrier launched last September flights between Nadi, Fiji and Honolulu with a stop in Apia, Samoa.

The carrier applied in June this year for renewable of exemption to engage in scheduled foreign air transport of persons, property and mail between these points.

Federal Government records show the US Transportation Department granted the application which was renewable valid from August the 20th, 2010 to August the 20th, 2011.

Among the conditions of the exemption is that the carrier comply with all applicable requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, the Transportation Security Administration, and with all applicable US Government requirements concerning security.
