The Fiji police say they now know the country in which half a million US dollars worth of new 20 Fiji dollar notes was stolen.
Police have told FBC news they are closely working with their overseas counterparts on the investigation, but have refused to say where the theft took place.
They also say they know how the money got into the country and how it is being distributed.
Authorities have released the serial numbers of the stolen notes.
