Samoa's acting Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Misa Telefoni, has reportedly informed several high ranking chiefs of Falelatai and Samatau constituency that he won't stand as a candidate in their constituency in next year's general election
A government official says a letter from the acting prime minister detailing the reasons for his decision was delivered to one of the Faaaloaloga or a group of high ranking chiefs last Saturday.
Misa has declined to elaborate.
