It's been revealed that a 19-year old woman soldier from Guam was killed in combat late last week in Afghanistan.
Private First Class Jaysine Petree, who was with a United States military transport company, was killed by an improvised explosive device.
Jaysine Petree was born in the Philippines but the Pacific New Centre reports she grew up on Guam, where her father works as a corrections officer.
She had been in the military since early last year.
