Voter turnout in American Samoa light in congressional mid-term elections

Voter turnout in American Samoa appears to be light as polling continues in the congressional mid-term elections.

Our correspondent in the territory says many people traditionally cast their votes after work finishes so polling activity will probably increase.

Monica Miller says she expects the overall turnout to be higher than usual for a mid-term election.

"Because we are also voting on amendments to the constitution and the constitutional review office has been campaigning heavily to get the votes out there and cast their ballots on the constitutional changes."
