A Papua New Guinea MP has been arrested and charged with 20 counts of misappropriation and false pretences.
The Post Courier reports the member for Kandrian Gloucester, Tonny Puana, is likely to be charged again for absconding after he failed to appear for mention while on bail.
He is alleged to have misappropriated nearly 130-thousand US dollars between February 2008 and 2009.
