The Opposition in Solomon Islands has condemned the Cabinet's decisions to allow illegally harvested beche-de-mer to be sold overseas.

The leader of the Opposition, Steve Abana, has called for an investigation into how the matter came before Cabinet for it to make a decision.

Mr Abana describes it as an abuse of cabinet process.

He says this kind of leadership deprives Solomon Islands of its resources.
