The Fiji Residents rugby league side is not letting a huge loss to Australian NRL heavyweights, the Newcastle Knights, knock their confidence.
Prior to Sunday's game, Fiji had 14 players who had never played outside of Fiji, and received a 72-nil thrashing in the trial match in Newcastle.
General Manager Steve McClellan, says the players are still positive.
"The worst thing we could have done as the management of the team was get down on ourselves a little so we said you know, there's not a person here that we're disappointed in. Everyone tried we came up against a quality opposition and it was the reality of the game, it was so different."
The Fiji Residents end their tour against a New South Wales Country selection next weekend which is expected to be a closer game.
