By-elections will be held in the Solomon Island constituencies of Shortland Islands and Baegu Asifola on March 30.
This follows the deaths of MPs Steve Laore and Toswell Kaua last year.
SIBC reports the Chief Electoral Officer Polycarp Haununu says nominations for the by-elections has opened and will close on March 2.
He says 250,000 US dollars has been allocated for the by-elections.
Mr Haununu says 47 polling stations have been confirmed for both the Shortland Islands and Baegu Asifola constituencies with more than 70 electoral officers to conduct the by-elections.
