Samoa donates money towards recovery effort in Christchurch

The government of Samoa has donated over 75 thousand US dollars to to help initial recovery efforts in Christchurch.

The Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi presented the cheque to the New Zealand High Commissioner to Samoa, Nick Hurley.

He said it's a small assistance on behalf of the Government and the people of Samoa to help out in initial recovery efforts underway in Christchurch.

Tuilaepa says Samoa's prayers are with New Zealand.
