The Fiji government vessel MV Iloilovatu ran aground in Vanuabalavu over the weekend.
According to police, the vessel was carrying people and items when it ran aground, however, all passengers were rescued from the vessel.
Fiji Village reports assistant police spokesperson, Jone Kalouniviti, saying the vessel had sustained damages.
The boat remains stranded on the reef.
