The former Manu Samoa rugby coach, Aveau Niko Palamo, is due back in court in Apia on Thursday to dispute his sacking from the role two years ago.
Palamo, who was elected to the Samoan parliament at the weekend, was sacked by the Samoa Rugby Union in early 2009, and replaced by the current head coach, Titimaea Tafua.
The two parties have held mediation talks, where Palamo says his continuing role with the Samoan Olympic Committee was brought up as one reason for his firing.
He says he wasn't given a fair chance to defend himself and is suing the SRU for more than 30 thousand US dollars as a matter of principle, although he's keen for the dispute to come to an end.
"Two years is a long time and I have gone over that and my family has gone over that as well and we have moved on. We have started to move on. I will continue on with the process so that I have to clear myself and if I am right I will need the union to apologise to me."
Niko Palamo says he's hopeful Thursday's court appearance will set a date for a full hearing.
