The CNMI has submitted a bid to host the 2017 Pacific Mini Games.
The Northern Marianas Amateur Sports Association president, Michael White, says they look forward to the possibility of welcoming the sporting community of the Pacific in 2017.
The NMASA head had earlier announced at the association's monthly meeting that the bid documents were complete.
Michael White says it's an impressive bid package and they're very hopeful of securing the hosting rights.
Competing with the CNMI will be Vanuatu and Nauru with Norfolk Island also believed to be interested.
