The French Polynesian government says it has sold its ATR plane to a European company.
The two-engine plane was sold for 8.5 million US dollars.
It had been bought in 2003 by a former President Gaston Flosse for twice the sum.
Tahiti media reports say the aircraft will be used by an airline in Bhutan.
