Samoa Red Cross has launched a fundraising appeal to support the people affected by the earthquake and tsunami in north east Japan.
The President of Samoa Red Cross, Faleao Maka Sapolu says he believes the people of Samoa will be touched by the devastation in Japan and inspired to help the affected communities.
He says while the Japan disaster has come soon after the Christchurch earthquake, he still encourages people to give whatever they can and show their compassion and solidarity for the people in Japan.
