Five outer islands of Fiji will be visited this week by Microfinance Expos hosted by the Reserve Bank.
The expo team will include donors, civil society groups and government agencies such as the Revenue and Customs Authority and the National Provident Fund.
Fiji Broadcasting reports the Reserve Bank Governor Barry Whiteside as saying the expo will promote financial inclusion and give the team firsthand experience of difficulties faced by those living in isolated locations.
The microfinance expo will visit Savusavu, Taveuni, Koro, Gau and Levuka with the team spending a day on each island.
