American Samoa officials are looking for the person who shot a green laser at a Hawaiian Airlines aircraft as it was heading in for landing at Pago Pago International Airport.
The airport manager Peter Lefiti says police, local Federal Aviation Administration and the FBI were alerted, and they're now investigating the incident.
Pointing a laser beam at an aircraft in flight is a federal offense.
Lefiti says this is the first such case in the territorty.
He is appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
