He will appear before the District Court on next week.
The Samoa Observer says this was confirmed by an unnamed source who could not give any further details on the matter. The alleged incident took place at the shelter.
It is understood that the Catholic Church has appointed a task force to investigate.
The centre offers help to young people who are being abused at home.
