The Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands says it can be very proud of the continuing strong support it receives from Solomon Islanders, as shown by the latest People's Survey.
The annual surveys, conducted by the Australian National University, are used by the government to monitor progress under its partnership framework with RAMSI.
It sought the people's views on issues such as access to services, security, support for RAMSI; leadership and accountability; dispute resolution and last year's general election.
The prime minister, Danny Philip, says the survey gives encouraging insights.
He says it's a help in identifying policy priorities and preparing for RAMSI's eventual departure.
RAMSI's deputy special co-ordinator, Mary Thurston, says it's pleasing that 84 percent of Solomon Islanders still want the mission in the country.
"I think that the length of time that the mission has been here, for the support level to remain at that level is something that we can be very proud of and it reflects the spirit of partnership that is working between Solomon Islands people and government and the mission itself."
