Four men accused of assault against newspaper publisher due in court on Monday

Four men who allegedly took part in an assault on the publisher of Vanuatu's Daily Post newspaper, Marc Neil-Jones, are expected to appear in court on Monday.

The men are each facing charges which include: unlawful assembly, unlawful entry, intentional assault, inciting intentional assault and threatening gesture.

The Court Registrar, Obert Alini says the men were to enter a plea on Thursday however the Magistrates Court was closed and the case was adjourned until next week.

Earlier in the week the State Prosecution Office said the Public Utilities Minister, Harry Iauko, was also charged for his alleged involvement, but it now says the charges are yet to be laid.
