Samoa's Volley ball association president, Tupuola Va'a Potoi, has stepped down following advice from the prime minister.
The call was made in order to solve a long standing dispute within the association.
An annual general meeting last night for more than five hours ended with the president accepting the prime minister's advice.
The dispute amongst club members and the president and his executive committee came from allegations of abuse of power and no financial reports as well as poor administration.
New office bearers were elected in last night's meeting.
