The Regional Assistance Mission in Solomon Islands says police have received no complaints in relation to local media reports about a pornographic video alleged to involve a RAMSI officer from Papua New Guinea.

The reports claim that footage of the officer and a local teenage female have been circulating around the country and have angered her family members.

A statement from RAMSI says the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force does not consider the matter to be a criminal issue and will not be taking it further.

It says all RAMSI personnel are subject to strict codes of conduct about their behaviour in Solomon Islands and any breaches would lead to administrative or disciplinary action.

RAMSI says it requested information last week from any member of the public who could help identify the male person in the video but no one has come forward.
