The CNMI government has again delayed salary payments to some of its staff.
The financially strapped Benigno Fitial administration says people working in non-critical sectors will not be paid today.
Those on the federal payroll are unaffected.
Mr Fitial's spokesperson, Angel Demapan, says they expect to be able to pay the wages by Wednesday next week.
