New Fiji Rugby Union board meets today

5:30 am on 7 May 2011

The new Fiji Rugby Union board will meet for the first time today.

Eight directors were elected at last weekend's Annual General Meeting in Sigatoka, with none of the former board standing for re-election.

Suva-based lawyer Carl Ngamoki-Cameron was on Thursday appointed to the final vacancy as the interim Prime Minister's nominee.

The board was due to meet on Thursday but prior commitments forced the gathering to be postponed.

The main item on today's agenda is the election of a new Chairman.
