Two villagers in Fiji who allegedly forged the signatures of village representatives of Lakeba have been charged with inciting mutiny, malicious act and forgery.
The two men allegedly wrote a letter to the interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama, which contained forged signatures of village elders and chiefs informing him that he was not welcome on the island.
Fiji Live reports the two men are Malakai Sobanivalu and Peni Mapa.
Malakai Sobanivalu is charged with one count of inciting to mutiny and one count of giving false information while Peni Mapa is charged with one count of malicious act and three counts of forgery.
They are scheduled to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.
