Fiji's interim govt changes name of FTIB

10:26 am on 8 June 2011

The Fiji interim government has decided to change the name of the Fiji Islands Trade and Investment Bureau, the FTIB.

FTIB will now be known as Investment Fiji.

The information ministry says the decision is based on a submission by the Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum says given the recent policy on the change in name from Republic of Fiji Islands to Republic of Fiji it is timely that FTIB change its name.
