The public prosecutor in Fiji has applied to have the case of former land force commander Brigadier General Pita Driti transferred to the High Court.
According to Fiji Live Pita Driti, who's charged with sedition and inciting mutiny, appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon after earlier confusion over the time.
His lawyer Filimone Vosarogo says he's been given until July 5 to respond to the prosecution's application that the case be transferred to the High Court.
And he says he's received all the disclosures from the state, after an earlier request for the prosecution to provide the information on which the charges are based.
The matter has been adjourned until July the 22nd, while Brigadier Driti's bail has been extended.
