American Samoa Port mum about drugs use claims

9:44 am on 25 June 2011

The director of the American Samoa Port Administration, Matagi Ray McMoore, says he will not respond to accusations about drugs use at the port, which are in an unsigned letter.

His comments are directed at a letter written by employees who were fired from Port Administration after failing drug tests.

The unsigned letter addressed to the Commissioner of Public Safety, Tuaolo Fruean, asked for a probe on the application of Port's drug testing policy as the employees felt that it wasn't being enforced equally.

They alleged that other port employees who failed previous drug tests are still working.

Matagi Ray McMoore says he won't respond to the claims.
