Guam survey shows power and water

9:18 am on 12 July 2011

More people on Guam are concerned about their water and power bills than about Guam's political status.

The Pacific Daily news reports a survey of 200 Chamorro voters conducted by University of Guam students found that the top issues for those polled -- 33 percent -- are jobs and the economy.

Only four percent of respondents placed political status on top.

The Governor, Eddie Calvo, has publicly expressed support for a vote on Guam's status as early as 2012.
