The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority says it's collected more than 407 million US dollars in outstanding taxes in the first six months of this year.

FRCA's chief executive, Jitoko Tikolevu, said total collections to the end of June exceeded the authority's forecast by nearly 17 million US dollars.

He says this reflects FRCA's continued effort to improve revenue collections through robust compliance and enforcement initiatives.
