Participants of one of the first tourism training workshops in American Samoa say the information relayed is what they need to sell their business to the world.
About 25 accommodation and tour operators and non-profit organisations took part on the first day of the workshop.
The training includes topics such as understanding global travel systems and producing recognised sales contracts.
One participant, Merilee May, says what she learnt on the first day is what businesses need to know to effectively promote their products to the world.
The training is funded by a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
