Fiji's CCF raises concerns over ownership dispute of a Labasa temple

Fiji's Citizens' Constitutional Forum is concerned a dispute over the ownership of a temple in Labasa has led to four people being barred from entering the house of worship.

The CCF says the actions of the largest Hindu organization in Fiji, the Shree Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha, breaches the group's human rights.

It says this is not how religious based organizations should deal with personal differences within their congregations.

The CCF's executive director, the Reverend Akuila Yabaki, says when there's dispute the organisation must enter into dialogue and find a peaceful solution and not put bans in place.
