A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off Vanuatu early this morning.
The United States Geological Survey says the quake hit just after half past one in the morning Vanuatu time at a depth of 23 kilometres.
There are no reports of any damage from the quake which was centred about 360 kilometres north east of the capital Port Vila.
No tsunami warning was issued.
