KFC and Fiji's Biosecurity Authority spat continues

11:54 am on 4 August 2011

In Fiji, the Manager of Kazi Foods, which operates the KFC franchise there, says they will wait for another ten days before making further decisions on its three outlets.

Fiji's Biosecurity Authority says it wants proper Vet Certification in order for KFC to import a milk and egg mix and breading salt.

But Steve Johnson told Fiji Village online he does not know why this is being done now.

KFC Fiji is now waiting for a meeting called by the interim Commerce Minister with all the stakeholders in relation to the suspension of KFC's operations in the country.
