The acting commissioner of the Solomon Islands police force, Walter Kola, is under investigation after being involved in an accident early last week.
The Solomons Star reports the accident occurred early on Sunday, July 31st, and Mr Kola is believed to have reversed his vehicle and hit a cement post of another officer's home.
The newspaper reports the the witness as saying Mr Kola is believed to have been drunk.
