Fiji's interim Attorney-General has rejected claims of political interference by the regime in the country's Independent Commission Against Corruption.
A Sri Lankan lawyer and former manager at the commission, Madwha Tenakoon, has claimed in an interview with Radio Australia the interim regime tried to influence cases.
He says a restaurant license case involving a high profile human rights lawyer Imrana Jalal is just one instance of interference.
But the Attorney-General Aiyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum has stressed the independence of the commission.
He told Fiji media Mr Tenakoon was dismissed for under-performance and his information was not credible.
