Date for Fiji's Driti case yet to be set

The hearing date of former Fiji land forces commander, Pita Driti, is expected to be determined at the end of the month.

Pita Driti is charged with seditious offence and inciting mutiny.

He was charged along with Ratu Tevita Mara, who fled to Tonga, from where Fiji is trying to extradite him.

Fijivillage reports Mr Driti appeared in Court yesterday where submissions were made for a transfer to the High Court.

The matter was adjourned to August the 31st to determine a hearing date which is expected to be in November.
