Sport: fifth lay day at ASP World surf tour event in Tahiti

Unwanted wind conditions have forced a fifth lay day at the ASP world surf tour's event in Tahiti.

A storm overnight brought rains and strong winds.

The competition's head judge, Pritamo Ahrendt, says there are signs of a new swell coming in and organisers expect it to be all sytems go for tomorrow.

Just one round has been completed and the competition looks set to spill into early next week.
