The Asian Development Bank has called for sustained commitment, leadership and partnerships to prevent the further spread of HIV/AIDS.
An ADB official, Ursula Schaefer-Preuss, told the 10th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific, of the need for continued political and economic commitment as well as increased collaboration among partners in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
She says by working together, governments, civil society, affected populations, the private sector and faith-based communities, can jointly move forward in halting the spread of the epidemic in the region.
