Tonga is using the performance of the 'Ikale Tahi at the Rugby World Cup as inspiration ahead of the Oceania Sevens tournament, which kicks off next weekend in Apia.
Places at the Wellington and Hong Kong legs of the IRB World Series are up for grabs to teams who perform in the event.
And Tonga coach, former international Manu Vunipola, says it's important for his side to be competing on the world stage.
He says his locally-based squad has been training hard in recent weeks and is looking to the 'Ikale Tahi for inspiration.
"They show us the way and then we practice. They win against France and they encourage my boys and that's our main focus at the moment: we can't wait to go out to Samoa and play for the qualify."
