Fiji's interim prime minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, is among the dozens of speakers at the International Telecommunication Union, which meets in Geneva this week.

The Fiji leader, who is the interim finance and sugar minister, will speak at the Broadband Leadership Summit.

Fiji's Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has told the Fiji Sun that these invitations to speak are a high compliment to the Bainimarama government by peers in the world community.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum says continued advancements in the area of telecommunications represented just one of the many areas in which the Bainimarama Government was recognised for making significant progress to modernise Fiji.
