Locals have dominated the first day of racing in the Cook Islands annual Vaka Eiva outrigger canoeing festival.
Emilene Taulu took line honours in the 12K V1 race, with Paul Pearson taking out the mens race.
Reuben Dearlove won the mens 18K V1 race, while Australia's Travis Grant finished ten minutes clear of teammate Todd Cohen in the 18K OC1 event.
More than 700 paddlers are taking part in the festival, which is now in its eighth year.
