The first boxing institute for the Pacific region is to be established in Samoa.
This follows a meeting of professional boxing promoters from Fiji, Tahiti, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Samoa in Apia this week.
The meeting has also endorsed a new annual professional boxing competition tournament from next year between the founding members of the institute.
