The Fiji Government has announced that any delegation from the Australian or New Zealand Council of Trade Unions are no longer welcome to visit Fiji.
The two unions were due to visit Fiji this week to meet with workers, employers and union representatives.
The Fiji Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says even before visiting Fiji, the ACTU planned to move a resolution at the Australian Labour Party Conference to place Fiji on the same blacklist as Burma and Zimbabwe.
Fiji Village reports he says the Government has written to the President of the ACTU seeking clarification on the truth of independence and genuineness of its visit.
