Next year's Pacific Islands Forum will be held between August the 13th and 17th in the Cook Islands.
The dates have been confirmed by the Cook Islands government which last hosted the Forum in 1997.
The foreign affairs and immigration secretary Jim Gosselin says government will begin planning the specifics of the conference and its surrounding events after the Christmas holiday period.
15 of the 16 members are expected to attend, with Fiji being suspended since 2009 for reneging on its promise to restore democracy.
